- Use the Word examples and add the information of your own volume(s), depending on the publication and edition type (transcription, commentary, text; a single volume of separate volumes for transcription(s) and commentary).
- Make sure to not change the margins, page breaks, headers, footers, and fonts.
- If you need to add new lines, e.g., due to a longer heading, make sure that you delete the same number of empty lines from between the author’s name and publication place. This is to ensure that the formatting of the following pages do not change (including the empty pages).
- If you do not use the dedication page, it is safer to delete it and its reverse side after converting the Word file to PDF.
- Save the file and name it following the example structures: “Frontmatter_CMO1-I-11a_Transcription” / “Frontmatter_CMO1-I-11b_Commentary”.
- Convert the Word file to PDF.
- Enter the necessary metadata in PDF by following the relevant instructions.
