  • Finalizing editorial notes of the transcription in consultation with the concordances. 
    Any anomalies affecting the notation, such as scribal error, ink stain or obscure parts of notation due to any reason, as well as editorial interventions should be noted in this section.
    The editorial notes are given with a code system to indicate the point in the transcription where the relevant note corresponds. The numbers in a code are, respectively, the division number, the sequence number of the group within the division and the sequence number of the pitch sign within the group. For example, below, the note refers to the division 42:
     
     
    In another example, the relevant note refers to the 4th group in the division 11:
     
     
    In yet another example, the relevant note indicates the 4th pitch sign of the 1st group in the division 70:
     

    If an editorial note refers to more than one division, group or pitch sign, they are indicated with a hyphen between them (42–43, 11.3–4, 70.1.3–4).
