  • Inserting usûl (adjust meter if necessary):
    - Import adequate usûl template from the server.
    - Some of the usûls such as Dârb-ı fetih, may require a few adjustments after importing (i.e. splitting measures for divisions etc.) Adjustment of dashed or invisible barlines could be necessary for usuls that are longer than 1 measure through Add or Remove in the Instrument section of Home tab.
    -  Darb: Hide the Time Signature and add the correct darb number (Text->Styles->General->Time Signatures->Darb), e.g. if the usûl is Devr-i kebîr it requires 14/2 so that the darb should be written as 14.
    - Add the tempo denominator (Text->Styles->General->Performance Instruction (above))

    - Import adequate usûl template from the server.
  • Transcribing the melodic line:
    - Transcribe the sections of the piece to staff notation in consultation with the concordances.
    - Add asterisk markers in the transcription for the editorial notes: Entering jotted version of editorial notes (Notes on Transcription) in critical report in consultation with the concordances.
  • Add CMO symbols and necessary text styles:
    - Brackets.

    - Division Signs

    - Barlines
    - Line breaks

    - Page breaks

    - Performance instructions
    - Editorial comments
  • Aligning the formatting according to CMO standards:
    - General layout -> Quantity of divisions per line should be two in most cases . However, the lines starting with the first divisions of each hâne should include only one if the melodic line includes many notes. Since Sibelius does not arrange the desired layout automatically, clicking on System Break button will help to achieve the desired result.
    - Check all the formatting and layout settings explained before.
